The Installation/Fitting Team plays an integral role in the delivery of the Company’s overall services performing both surveying and fitting capabilities. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a good base of technical skills and the drive to provide exceptional levels of service to our customers. Job Summary
We are now looking for an Installation Engineer/Fitter to join our team. Responsible for surveying our shower enclosures, taking accurate measurements and levels of wall and flat surfaces along with shower tray space, recording for design and installation purposes, they will join a team of dedicated professionals. Among your responsibilities, you will be expected to fit shower screen enclosures in line with survey specification and company standards, ensuring exceptional quality finish and excellent customer service at all times.
You will need to be able to work alongside other fitters, showing a consistent enthusiasm and rapport with our clients/customers. A full job summary and responsibilities is at the end of this advertisement.
Key Duties
To undertake initial surveys, taking measurements, drawing up to scale, recording and sending the information into our Head Office team.
Identify, record and communicate potential survey/installation issues
Liaise with client/customer to understand fitting requirements
Load the van with goods and necessary tools and equipment
Drive van to required destination to transport goods
Carry all necessary materials, tools and equipment for installation usage
Install shower enclosures in line with company quality standards and in line with survey specification
Undertake remedial works and compile report
On completion of installation send all installation forms, documents and images to Head Office
Undertake stock and van checks
Deliver exceptional customer service at all times
Ability, Skills and Experience
Fitting/installation experience (preferably in the aluminium window industry, bathroom or kitchen industry)
Ability to understand measurements in relation to building and construction works
Experience of converting measurements into drawings
Ability to demonstrate technical skills in core trade
Ability to work with plans /detailed drawings
Experience and ability to display excellent Customer Service skills both internally and externally, generating a positive working environment.
Accuracy and attention to detail
A good knowledge of the general building and construction industry
Good understanding and knowledge of basic Health and Safety
Ability to be flexible with working hours
Hold full UK driving licence
Good written and oral English essential
