Xenon 05 Inline Panel + Door + Inline Panel

The Xenon 05 Inline Panel & Door & Inline Panel is one of our most popular styles of frameless shower enclosures manufactured by theshowerlab™. Sometimes referred to as a PDP, this style of enclosure is particularly accommodating to all interior designs be it a master bathroom, en-suite shower room or a 5 star hotel bathroom.

A variation of the design is often used in luxury houses that have indoor swimming pools and want to separate the main pool area from adjoining leisure areas like a gym or games room.

In a bathroom where there are many issues for interior designers to consider, the Xenon 05 is particularly flexible.

Each of the 3 pieces of extra thick safety glass can be produced to your individual requirements, with the total width of the opening being divided in to 3 equal pieces or you can choose from a wider door and 2 narrower panels which again gain be supplied in equal widths or manufactured in different widths if required.

With other designs like our Gallium 03 where the shower door hinges directly from the wall, the Xenon 05 features a door that is hinged from a fixed hinge panel. This is particularly useful where the wall is not 100% vertical as we can rake the glass panel to the required angle, effectively we cut the glass out of square so when it is installed the door can be fitted to it on engineered solid brass hinges and everything will be square, plumb most important the horizontal line of the top of the glass will be level.

On the subject of hinges, as a company with many years of experience, we understand the requirements of interior designers, architects, developers and discerning private customers and know that when they purchase a shower screen, even if it is a modern contemporary design normally referred to as a frameless shower screen, it is important to have strong, high quality hinges that don’t leak.

Our system uses exactly this style of hinge, designed to allow the full height water seal to pass behind the hinge which ensures there are no gaps through which water is almost guaranteed to pass. Not all shower screen manufactures are the same so great care should be taken when checking this particular point as the last thing you want is to spend your money on a screen with old landscape shaped hinges where you are required to cut the water seals where they meet the hinges and where the hinges themselves have clearly visible holes in them.

Another important reason for selecting a sleek portrait style hinge is that it allows the fixed glass hinge panel to be produced much narrower than if you are using a bulky landscape style hinge. This detail becomes particularly relevant in smaller en-suite bathrooms or shower rooms where space is of a premium.

Being able to choose to have a panel as narrow as 100mm wide allows you to have a wider door which makes it much more comfortable getting in and out of your shower. Additionally, it is quite common nowadays for a bathroom designer to position a heated towel rail just outside of the shower so you can grab hold of your warm towel the minute you have finished showering. In this scenario it is not normally possible to have a door hinged directly to the wall as the door will hit the towel rail when the door is opened. By incorporating a narrow hinge panel the door can be opened and will clear the towel rail.

As we have already covered, the flexibility of this style of frameless shower enclosure also applies to the height. We can produce your shower screen as high as you require and where necessary we will add additional hinges and brackets to ensure a strong and safe showering environment.
